Equipped to Counsel

UBC's Equipped to Counsel is a 9-month training course open to all members of UBC who are at least 22 years old and who desire to minister God's Word to other Christians amidst life's troubles. 

Rooted in Ephesians 4:11–12, we believe every maturing believer is called not only to receive care but to be an instrument of grace. At UBC, this means training members to apply Scripture to life and speak the truth in love with wisdom, humility, and compassion. 

Equipped to Counsel exists to honor Christ’s design for His church by equipping members to minister His Word to one another for the building up of the body. It aims to equip believers to speak the truth in love, applying God’s Word to build a mature and unified church in Christ. 

ETC provides a framework for developing Christlike character, theological discernment, and biblical application. As members care for one another with wisdom, the church is strengthened and reflects Christ more clearly.
