Student Ministry

Welcome! The passion of University Baptist Church is glorifying God by treasuring Christ above all things and reaching others that they may find lasting joy in Him. That’s what the Youth Ministry at UBC is about and it’s accomplished by teaching students the way to live life once they’ve entered through the narrow gate (Matthew 7:13-14).

Our staff of 5 trained college interns and the Family Pastor, along with several adults who teach on Sunday mornings and a soon to be developed student leadership team provide the leadership for this ministry. Although there are many opportunities for teenagers to be teenagers through events, retreats, and various projects, make no mistake that every aspect of this ministry is geared toward proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ through sound Biblical teaching and discussion. Once it’s been established that a student has that relationship, they are called to the higher standard of living out the principles set in Scripture out of obedience to their Father, but also to imitate the life of Jesus to both believers and non-believers that surround them. These teachings primarily take place on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, but the challenge is there for everyone involved to live out that relationship on a daily basis.

The narrow gate is open to all as everyone is welcome to come and experience the life that God has to offer through His Son Jesus.

Blessings,
J.D. Dudley, Family Pastor

“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who enter by it are few.”
MATTHEW 7:13-14 (ESV)
